All in one day, we went on an elf hunt, presented our Not a Box projects, and decorated gingerbread houses.
First off the elf hunt! Mr. Sahota and the James Ardiel leadership team organized our kindergartners to help find Sparkle the elf.

We went on a hunt through the school looking for clues as to where Sparkle the Elf could be.
We went to the gym.
We went to the office.

We went to the library too.
We were suprised to find that Sparkle the Elf was hiding in our classroom!
After
handing out candy canes Sparkle and her helpers went off on their way.
Not a Box Family Homework Project
I was just amazed at the amount of effort and participation our class showed with our first Family Homework Project, Not a Box. Even though it was an optional activity we had fourteen projects that we displayed in the library for everyone to see. Here's a slideshow of all the projects.![]() |

Decorating Gingerbread Houses
Our buddies helped us decorate the gingerbread houses that Ms. Howard's mom, Jakob's mom, and Cali-Jean's grandma helped build the day before. Thanks again for all of your help and with the variety of candy that was donated to decorate them. I wish I was able to take pictures of each of them seperately, but they were so fragile, I was afraid of them falling apart before they could be sent home. I hope you enjoyed them this weekend!
